United run out comfortable 3-0 victors over West Ham thanks to a magnificent Hojlund strike, as well as a Garnacho double. In a first half that West Ham dominated, Hojlund opened the scoring as he shifted onto his right foot before rifling into the back of the net.  Despite the half-time scoreline, the Hammers' first-half showing had them believing they could find a way back into the game after the interval. However, after Emerson should have scored at one end, Garnacho ruthlessly made him pay by dribbling past the West Ham full-back and firing home with the help of a deflection. It was Garnacho again who ended any hopes of a comeback, McTominay taking the ball off a careless Phillips before laying it to his right for the young winger to finish.  The three points take United above West Ham and Brighton into sixth, while Moyes' men drop to seventh having seen their winless run extended to six in all competitions.  Ten Hag's side will bid to put more pressure on the Champio...

Video Highlights: Getafe 0-2 Real Madrid - All Goals (Watch) Joselu scored twice to help Madrid move to the top of LaLiga with a 2-0 win over Getafe. The forward broke the deadlock in the first half, getting on the end of Vazquez's searching cross and powering his header past Soria. The pair then combined again before the break, but Joselu's low strike towards the bottom-right corner from the edge of the box was pushed wide by the goalkeeper. Getafe failed to have a shot before the break but went close to levelling soon after the restart.  Greenwood drove inside from the right and thumped the bottom of the left post. The Manchester United loanee was a threat against Los Blancos, but he didn't hit the target with any of his five efforts. Instead, it was Joselu who scored again to confirm Madrid's win. He touched the ball inside of Alderete just outside the box and drilled his reverse shot into the bottom-right corner.  Next up, Madrid host rivals Atletico in LaLiga, with...

Video Highlights: Wolves 3-4 Manchester United - All Goals (Watch) Forson passes to Mainoo on the left, and the youngster sets off on a spellbinding run past one, two, three Wolves players before calmly rolling a low finish beyond Sa's grasp and into the far corner!!! 4-3 to the Red Devils as pandemonium ensues in the away end, and they won the game in the nick of time.

Video Highlights: Newport 2-4 Manchester United - All Goals (Watch) They certainly didn't make an easy job of it, but that late rally gives Manchester United a 4-2 win over Newport County and seals their passage into the fifth round of the FA Cup! Morris' first-half piledriver had already got the Exiles faithful off their feet, and Will Evans' equaliser just two minutes into the second half sparked absolute bedlam, locking the hosts up at 2-2 and giving the shell-shocked visitors a mountain to climb! Chances came and went for both Fernandes and Martinez, before Shaw's curling finish came back off the post and Antony tapped home the rebound to restore United's lead.  Newport pressed for yet another equaliser with goalscorers Evans and Morris testing Bayindir from range, but the Red Devils would have the final say, splitting the Exiles through the middle for Hojlund to net their fourth via another rebounded shot.  Having dug deep to avoid one of the FA Cup's ultim...

Chelsea made light work of Middlesborough in a shower of goals to book their place in this year's EFL Cup finals. The blues were rampant all night with Cole Palmer the pick out of the bunch with a well taken brace.  Disasi, Madueke and Enzo registered a goal apiece and an own goal from the visitors started the rout.

FT Highlights: Chelsea Vs Fulham Highlights It's all over at Stamford Bridge, and that late first- half penalty from Palmer seals the points for Chelsea in this fiercely contested west London Derby! The chances continued in spades as the second half wore on, with Sterling and Gallagher both hitting the woodwork as the Blues went within inches of doubling their lead.  Palmer and Colwill both struck wide, while further shots from Broja and Madueke being blocked and saved respectively by Leno and the Fulham defence. Up at the other end, Jimenez drew two stops from Petrovic in quick succession, while Pereira and Willian both put close-range free-kicks over the bar as the Cottagers missed the chance to close the four-point gap between themselves and their London rivals.  That's now four home wins on the bounce for Chelsea in the league, and they climb to eighth in the table with a performance that will give Mauricio Pochettino reassurance and confidence in the progress his side is ...

Video Highlights: Middlesborough 1-0 Chelsea - All Match (Watch) Middlesbrough made Chelsea – and Cole Palmer in particular – rue their missed chances as Hayden Hackney’s goal handed the Championship side a 1-0 first-leg lead in their Carabao Cup semi-final. The England international, who had earlier been denied by Boro keeper Tom Glover, passed up three opportunities either side of Hackney’s 37th-minute strike, which ensured Michael Carrick’s men will head for Stamford Bridge in a fortnight’s time with a 1-0 lead.

Manchester United book their place in the FA Cup fourth round after a dominant 2-0 win over Wigan Athletic, who were somewhat fortunate to escape with a narrow defeat as the Red Devils struggled in front of goal.  Ten Hag’s side dominated the first half, barring Aasgaard’s glorious third-minute opportunity, and headed in at half-time 1-0 up thanks to Dalot’s 22nd-minute opener that came from a fine curling finish into the bottom-right corner.  Hojlund missed two presentable chances in the opening period, while Rashford and McTominay perhaps should have scored, too. It was a similar story in the second half, although Fernandes’ 74th-minute penalty eased any fears of a comeback – the Portugal midfielder converting a spot-kick that he won from Shaw’s sliding tackle.  Wigan could have few complaints about the result, though there was some questions around Fernandes’ theatrics for the penalty, in a one-sided third-round clash.  In the fourth round, United will visit the w...

Video Highlights: Chelsea 4-0 Preston - All Goals (Watch) Chelsea are through to the fourth round of the FA Cup with a 4-0 win over Preston. For the first 55 minutes or so, it was actually a tight game, with both sides struggling to find a breakthrough.  Things flipped on their head when Broja got on the end of Gusto's cross to flick a header past Woodman 58 minutes in. Silva came off the bench to double their lead from a corner, thumping his header past the keeper before Sterling curled in a free-kick from just outside the box three minutes later.  Fernandez rounded things off late on, with the goal given after a lengthy VAR check showed that he wasn't offside as originally flagged. Chelsea will find out on Monday who they'll face in the next round, and they have the first leg of an EFL Cup semi-final against Middlesbrough in midweek. Preston's poor run of form continues as they're knocked out of the FA Cup, and their attention turns back to the Championship when t...

Video Highlights: Chelsea (4) 1 - 1 (2) Newcastle - All Goals (Watch) Chelsea stunned Newcastle at Stamford Bridge with a late equaliser to send the visitors out of the competition via penalties. Substitute Mykhailo Mudryk not only scored the equaliser at the dying moments but produced the winning spot kick to send the blues on their way into the competition semifinals.

Video Highlights: Chelsea 2-0 Sheffield United - All Goals (Watch)

Image
Ultimately cruising to a 2-0 win at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea move on from their away-day blues by beating a limited Sheffield United side - but not without struggling to break them down for the first 50 minutes.  Shortly after the second half began, the hosts finally found their rhythm, with Sterling and particularly Palmer to the fore as they pinned the Blades back and continued to dominate the ball. Jackson struck for the seventh time in the Premier League this season, helping his team to edge back inside the top half of the table. United, meanwhile, remain rooted to the bottom.  In midweek, Chelsea will host Newcastle United in the EFL quarter-finals, before visiting Wolves next Sunday, it doesn't get any easier for Sheffield United, who face a tough trip to Villa Park on Friday evening. That's all from today's live coverage, so thank you for joining us and goodbye!

United deservedly return to winning ways with a 2-1 victory over a disappointing Chelsea side. Indeed, Ten Hag's men made rather harder work of this than they might have.  Fernandes had a penalty saved before McTominay netted the first of two goals. The Scotland international and his team- mates should have added to their lead before Palmer equalised against the run of play, and Chelsea were right in the game at 1-1.  McTominay's second came from a header that withstood a VAR check, though, and the Blues offered precious little thereafter.  Three points take United up to sixth ahead of Saturday's clash with Bournemouth, while Chelsea, still searching for consistency, stay 10th and play Everton next on Sunday. Thanks for following along, and until next time, goodbye!

Video Highlights: Chelsea 3-2 Brighton - All Goals (Watch)

Image
Ten-man Chelsea hold on to get a vital home win as they beat Brighton 3-2. The Blues made a perfect start to the game, with two corners causing Brighton all sorts of problems.  Fernandez headed in his first Premier League goal from the first, while Colwill thumped in his first Chelsea goal to double their tally.  That lead was halved just before the break, with Buonanotte curling in a wonderful strike before Gallagher received his second yellow card.  Fernandez got his second of the game in the 65th minute from the spot after Milner fouled Mudryk, and it took Brighton until stoppage time to pull back another, with Pedro flicking it in at the near post.  In the dying moments, the referee awarded a spot-kick to the Seagulls for handball, but it was overturned by VAR. It's a win that lifts Chelsea into 10th, and they'll be hoping to build some momentum off this as they travel to Manchester United on Wednesday.  Brighton stay in eighth, with Brentford at home next u...

Galatasaray Vs Manchester United 3-3 All Goals & Highlights

Image
United and Galatasaray can finally breathe after a chaotic Champions League classic comes to an end with a 3-3 draw in Istanbul. The Red Devils, as was the case in Copenhagen, came flying out the blocks as Fernandes teed up Garnacho's first Champions League goal after 11 minutes before curling in a beautiful strike of his own just seven minutes later.  Ziyech reduced the deficit to 2-1 in the first half with a free-kick that Onana may feel he should have done better with, before Icardi saw his cool finish ruled out for offside on the stroke of half-time.  McTominay extended United's lead after the interval, only for Onana to spill another Ziyech free-kick before substitute Akturkoglu smashed in a remarkable finish to level proceedings. Ten Hag's side host Bayern Munich, who have already qualified, in a December 12 clash but could be out of the competition before then if Copenhagen defeat the Bundesliga champions later on Wednesday.  Galatasaray, who have a one-point lead ...
