United deservedly return to winning ways with a 2-1 victory over a disappointing Chelsea side. Indeed, Ten Hag's men made rather harder work of this than they might have. 

Fernandes had a penalty saved before McTominay netted the first of two goals. The Scotland international and his team- mates should have added to their lead before Palmer equalised against the run of play, and Chelsea were right in the game at 1-1. 

McTominay's second came from a header that withstood a VAR check, though, and the Blues offered precious little thereafter.
