It's all over at Stamford Bridge, and that late first- half penalty from Palmer seals the points for Chelsea in this fiercely contested west London Derby! The chances continued in spades as the second half wore on, with Sterling and Gallagher both hitting the woodwork as the Blues went within inches of doubling their lead. 

Palmer and Colwill both struck wide, while further shots from Broja and Madueke being blocked and saved respectively by Leno and the Fulham defence. Up at the other end, Jimenez drew two stops from Petrovic in quick succession, while Pereira and Willian both put close-range free-kicks over the bar as the Cottagers missed the chance to close the four-point gap between themselves and their London rivals. 

That's now four home wins on the bounce for Chelsea in the league, and they climb to eighth in the table with a performance that will give Mauricio Pochettino reassurance and confidence in the progress his side is making.
