Chelsea vs Celtic: Mykhailo Mudryk and Wesley Fofana both start

Enzo Maresca takes on the Celtics in their second friendly with the hope of getting more encouragement following their 2-2 draw against Wrexham on Wednesday.

The manager wishes to build up their fitness ahead of the 2024–25 campaign, as the match will kick off at 4 p.m. local time and 9 p.m. UK time.

The Chelsea boss hopes to record a win with Two changes from the side that drew with them during the first game: Wesley Fofana and Mykhailo Mudryk for Tosin Adarabioyo and Tyrique George.

Starting XI: Sanchez; James; Fofana; Badiashile; Colwill; Lavia; Chukwuemeka; Nkunku; Madueke; Mudryk; Guiu.

Now it seems the manager will bring in more depth since Celtic have already been pictured as possessing more distributive tactics. The Notre Dame side recorded a 3-4 victory against the Premier League champions, and Enzo Maresca has gotten tactics to unleash their defensive solidity.

The red card to Fikayo Tomori was a key moment in Milan’s loss to Chelsea yesterday but despite seeming harsh, it was technically the correct call according to the laws of the game.
