Video Highlights: Chelsea 4-0 Preston - All Goals (Watch) Chelsea are through to the fourth round of the FA Cup with a 4-0 win over Preston. For the first 55 minutes or so, it was actually a tight game, with both sides struggling to find a breakthrough.  Things flipped on their head when Broja got on the end of Gusto's cross to flick a header past Woodman 58 minutes in. Silva came off the bench to double their lead from a corner, thumping his header past the keeper before Sterling curled in a free-kick from just outside the box three minutes later.  Fernandez rounded things off late on, with the goal given after a lengthy VAR check showed that he wasn't offside as originally flagged. Chelsea will find out on Monday who they'll face in the next round, and they have the first leg of an EFL Cup semi-final against Middlesbrough in midweek. Preston's poor run of form continues as they're knocked out of the FA Cup, and their attention turns back to the Championship when t...

Reece James injury Update and return Date finally revealed

Image
See the latest update on Chelsea defender Reece James injury and possible return date. Reece James has been in outstanding form this season but hobbled off against AC Milan in the Champions League earlier this week and is set for a short spell on the sidelines. The England international performed expertly well in the reverse fixture against the Italian champions and became the youngest Chelsea player to score and assist in the same Champions League game in the 3-0 win at Stamford Bridge. But his outing at the San Siro was less successful after he lasted just 62 minutes before he was forced off with a knee problem. According to Evening Standard, James will undergo further tests before Chelsea discover the extent of the damage. The report claims that Graham Potter's side are 'optimistic' he'll make a quick recovery and Phillips reckons he's likely to sit out the meetings with Aston Villa and Brentford and is targeting the visit of Manchester United on Saturday week. Video Highlights: Newport 2-4 Manchester United - All Goals (Watch) They certainly didn't make an easy job of it, but that late rally gives Manchester United a 4-2 win over Newport County and seals their passage into the fifth round of the FA Cup! Morris' first-half piledriver had already got the Exiles faithful off their feet, and Will Evans' equaliser just two minutes into the second half sparked absolute bedlam, locking the hosts up at 2-2 and giving the shell-shocked visitors a mountain to climb!
