FT: Aston Villa 2-2 Chelsea - Highlights

Chelsea avoided defeat for just the fourth time in 51 Premier League games in which they were 2+ goals behind at half-time, also drawing 3-3 with Sheffield Wednesday (August 1992), 2-2 with Tottenham (May 2016) and 3-3 with West Bromwich Albion (September 2020).

Aston Villa have scored 73 Premier League goals this season, their most in a single top-flight campaign since 1976-77 (76).

Chelsea have won just one of their last 19 Premier League games against sides starting the day in the top four of the table (D7 L11), winning 4-1 at Tottenham in November this season.

Ten-man Chelsea hold on to get a vital home win as they beat Brighton 3-2. The Blues made a perfect start to the game, with two corners causing Brighton all sorts of problems.  Fernandez headed in his first Premier League goal from the first, while Colwill thumped in his first Chelsea goal to double their tally.  That lead was halved just before the break, with Buonanotte curling in a wonderful strike before Gallagher received his second yellow card.  Fernandez got his second of the game in the 65th minute from the spot after Milner fouled Mudryk, and it took Brighton until stoppage time to pull back another, with Pedro flicking it in at the near post.  In the dying moments, the referee awarded a spot-kick to the Seagulls for handball, but it was overturned by VAR.
